Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in ‘Supernatural’
CWJared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles won Our when they played brothers Supernatural — and they’ve stayed booked and busy since the CW show ended.
Padalecki and Ackles played the monster-hunting duo from 2005 to 2020. appearing in over 300 episodes from the hit series, Padalecki exclusively said My Weekly that he felt he would “never really say goodbye” to his character.
“We really became a family,” he said of the trip at the time. “Over 15 years, we have reduced the fat. We didn’t fire anyone, but if they didn’t like it there, they moved on. So the people who are there want to be there.”
Ackles felt the same way, which inspired expansion and Supernatural universe. (The Winchesters the series ran from 2022 to 2023 and focused on parents Dean (Ackles) and Sam (Padalecki) in the 1970s.)
“It’s a long road,” quipped Ackles during a Television Critics Association press panel that year. “I don’t think it will ever end. It just goes away for a while. I don’t know how long.”

CWPadalecki initially stayed on at The CW after he quit Supernatural. He was cast as the lead role on Walker, Texas Ranger reboot from 2020 to 2024, where he also served as an executive producer. After Walker inspired Walker: Independence prequelPadalecki had an unnamed cameo in one episode.
Meanwhile, Ackles joined in Walker as a director but also scored as Miles Vyas.
‘Fire Country’ Franchise

Sergey Bachlakov/CBSSeason 3 of the hit CBS series Fire country introduced Padalecki as Camden Casey in a three-episode arc to create a potential spinoff. Tierra del Fuego: Surfside will follow Padalecki as a California firefighter dealing with the aftermath of his brother’s death in the field.
