In the support document, Apple noted that the company followed the law by blocking all these programs.
“Apple is obligated to comply with the laws in the jurisdictions in which it operates. In accordance with the “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversaries Controlled Applications Act”, ByteDance Ltd. and apps developed by its subsidiaries, including TikTok, CapCut, Lemon8 and others, will no longer be available for users in the United States to download or update on the App Store.
