Caruso, who ran unsuccessfully against Karen Bass for mayor in 2022, previously said the nonexistent water supply when the Palisades Fire burned multimillion-dollar real estate to ashes represented “absolute mismanagement on the part of the city.”
“There is no water in the Palisades. There is no water coming out of the fire hydrants. This is absolute mismanagement on the part of the city. It’s not the fire department’s fault, it’s the city’s fault,” Caruso said. Fox11 Los Angeles when the fires raged.

“I think in any parenting issue, you have to be the captain of the plane… If the captain of the plane panics, the passengers panic. And in general, I approach parenting children that way,” he told Fox News Digital. .
“But if the pilot of the plane doesn’t panic and say everything’s fine, and you know you’re about to crash, you don’t trust the pilot either. So, you know, it’s transparency. It’s really honest conversations and reassurances.
“You can tell a lot of people are losing their homes right now. We have everything that’s important. And no matter what, we’re a family. We’re healthy and we’re together. And we’ll always have a place to live, and that’s what what can be said,” he said.
