Cher Gopmanformerly known to reality TV fans as Cher Hubsher, she made a name for herself after appearing on the MTV series My super sweet 16 in 2007 — but right now she’s speaking out about her alleged experience on the show.
In a TikTok video shared on Saturday, January 18, the reality TV alum claimed she wasn’t paid a cent for her time on the show.
In a social media post, Gopman says along with the audio, “Since we’re all going to die, there’s one more secret I have to share with you.” He then points to a photo of himself on the show and a caption that reads: “Since TikTok has been banned, I’ll tell you how much money I’ve made on MTV. My super sweet 16.” He then says “Zero” as “$0” flashes on the screen.
Gopman’s episode aired on January 15, 2007. Her appearance on the popular reality series helped pave the way for her to land a series of small acting roles on television shows including Terror in Amityville, Blind thoughtsand Little Fish.
The show wasn’t Gopman’s only foray into reality TV, either. She and her mother, Dawn Hubsher, joined the cast of sMothered in 2019 before the birth of her daughter in the same year.

After working in the healthcare industry for several years before becoming a life coach and social media personality, Gopman has amassed nearly 400,000 followers on TikTok, where most of her content is originally shared.
Gopman has been an outspoken supporter of the platform, which will go dark in the United States after the Supreme Court’s TKTKK on Sunday, January 19. On Friday, January 17, she shared a video introducing herself and her young daughter at the airport, she captioned, “We’re moving to China because TikTok is banned.”
After a commenter noted that TikTok is also banned in China, Gopman shared a second video on Saturday that also featured her mother. “We’re leaving America because Tiktok is banned,” she wrote.
Gopman and her mother co-authored a 2019 book A bond that lasts forever. In an interview for the book, Gopman told Tinseltown Mom, “My mother and I have always been close. Of course we’ve had our ups and downs like any mother-daughter relationship and we’ve had a lot of arguments growing up, but it’s how we got through the tough times that made us so much stronger.”
She also credited her mother with helping her find her voice as a young woman, often asking her opinion on various topics instead. “I realized that I had a voice and that she cared. She always wanted to spend quality time with me, which made me feel very special in the beginning,” she explained.
