Taylor Swift break into tumultuous cheers when her boyfriend, Travis Kelcescored a touchdown during the Kansas City Chiefs’ divisional playoff run.
The point guard Patrick Mahomes threw the ball to the 35-year-old Kelce in the middle of the Chiefs’ Jan. 18 Saturday night football game against the Houston Texans. Kelce, for his part, was standing in the end zone when the pigskin landed in his arms.

Swift showed up at KC Arrowhead Stadium dressed in head-to-toe Chanel and arrived alongside her parents, Scott and Andreaand younger brother, Austin. The rest of the Swift family wore Chiefs gear as they sat with Kelce’s family and 22 year old Clark in a box.

Kelce’s touchdown also helped the Chiefs win the game 23-14.
“I know I had to buy some time … but we talked about the exact play,” Mahomes, 29, said of Kelce’s catch in the end zone after the game. press conference. “Trav just had to get past that defender, so I had to buy some time. I stepped into the pocket and was able to get enough on it to get into the end zone. That was a big play in the game.”
Mahomes, in his words, “gave it all” to throw the ball across the field to Kelce.
“You find a way in these big moments, and that was a big moment,” the quarterback added. “I was glad Trav was in that spot where I could give him the football. … I was able to come through and get in the end zone, but that’s something we’ve been working on. We worked on that game and that situation.”
Mahomes further gushed over Kelce’s impressive reception during Saturday’s game, referring to the Man of the Year nominee as a “big player.”
“Big players make great plays in big games,” Mahomes said. “He’s one of those guys and he didn’t let the moment be bigger than it was. They just go out there and execute (at) a high level, just like they did in the regular season. He just does it (at) a little higher intensity.”
The Kansas City Chiefs won’t let their first-place finish in the AFC get to their heads — even with a possible back-to-back Super Bowl victory. “I haven’t heard anybody talk about a ‘three-peat’ (or) anything like that,” Travis Kelce, one of the team’s playoff captains, said in an interview.
With Saturday’s win, the Chiefs move into the AFC Championship game against either the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills later this month. The eventual AFC title champion will represent the conference in the 2025 Super Bowl against the NFC division winner. (The Washington Commanders will play either the Los Angeles Rams or the Philadelphia Eagles for the honor.)
If the Chiefs come through and win the big game, it would be their third consecutive Lombardi Trophy. In particular, Kelce and Mahomes were signed with the team when they won in 2020, 2023 and 2024.
“I haven’t heard anybody talk about ‘three-peat’ (or) anything like that,” Kelce said in sitting at ESPN which aired before the divisional playoff game. “Anybody can beat in the playoffs if you don’t go into it with the right mentality and the right setup from training camp and throughout the season. We have such a veteran team. We have so many leaders in so many different ways. Guys step up and guys just understand the task at hand.”
