Washington, DC, is preparing for the inauguration of the 47th President Donald J. Trump on Monday, even as extreme weather has forced the inauguration ceremony to take place indoors.
Inauguration day begins with that ceremony at noon. It concludes with official inaugural balls, according to Destination DC.
Several restaurants throughout the DC metro area are featuring dishes inspired by the inauguration. specials and experiences to commemorate the event, they told Fox News Digital earlier this week.

At the Watergate Hotel, visitors can mark the opening at The Next Whiskey Bar to celebrate one of President Trump’s favorites with an elevated twist, the Presidential Stack.
This dish features a gourmet version of the classic burger, accompanied by golden truffle fries and a bucket of Diet Coke for the definitive nod to Trump.
Also available at The Next Whiskey Bar is Presidential Bites Flight, a selection of luxurious small plates created to define the occasion.

The special menu for two includes whiskey, wine and culinary bites by executive chef Walter Alvarado.

“We are also pleased to present our Presidential Afternoon Tea, a tribute to the notable legacies of our nation’s presidents.”
At New Heights Restaurant in DC’s Woodley Park neighborhood, there’s a culinary journey through history with a special three-course dinner menu, “A Presidential Banquet: Flavors of Inaugural History.”
Offered exclusively through the end of January, this meal features selections from the official menu items served at the Congressional lunches of past U.S. presidents.
The Congressional Luncheon is a long-standing tradition held after the swearing-in ceremony.
“Since New Heights opened its doors in 1986, we have seen seven leaders serve, so creating a menu with the same dishes enjoyed by past presidents is a truly impressive moment for me,” said Executive Chef José Molina .
