Audrey Hepburn not only has she starred in countless romantic films, she has also had several high-profile relationships.
Before her breakthrough role in 1953 Roman holidayHepburn was engaged to an industrialist James Hanson whom she met while living in London. However, as Hepburn’s career grew, she and Hanson struggled in their relationship.
Hepburn eventually they called off the wedding and the famous saying, “When I get married, I really want to be married.”
After her affair with Hanson, Hepburn moved on to her first husband Mel Ferrer. The couple tied the knot in 1954. Six years later they welcomed a son Sean Hepburn Ferrer. After 14 years of marriage, Hepburn and Ferrer called it quits.
Hepburn will not remarry until they meet Andrea Dotti. The couple tied the knot in 1969 and welcomed their son Luca the following year. Dotti and Hepburn separated in 1982 after 12 years of marriage.
Before her death in January 1993, Hepburn found one last chance at love with her partner Robert Wolders. The couple remained together for the rest of their lives after the actress lost her battle with cancer.
