Kim Kardashian she’s been candid over the years about dipping her toe back into dating after her divorce.

Kardashian initially tied the knot with the producer Damon Thomasto whom she was married for three years until the couple called it quits in 2003. Almost ten years later, Kardashian got engaged to Chris Humphries in 2011 and exchanged vows later that year. Kardashian and Humphries split after 72 days marriage and their divorce was finalized in April 2013.

Being a hopeless romantic

Kardashian opened up about her mindset when it comes to dating on the May 2023 episode of the podcast ‘On Purpose With Jay Shetty.’ with someone,” Kardashian said.

Kardashian noted that she had no plans to rush into another relationship because of how it would affect her children.

“I definitely take my time and I think there are so many factors, especially when you have kids and you’re taking care of the people that come into your life,” she said. “If I can look at everything I did wrong and try not to make the same mistakes and really take my time, I think it has to be different for me. Obviously, it’s such a difficult place because how do you do that? There are so many factors, but I will always believe in love and I will always want it and I think it’s such a magical part of life. But I think I’m comfortable enough to take my time so I don’t rush it.’

She added: “There’s so much going on that I’m not lonely and I think that’s really important. I believe, like, I always believe. And I think whatever is meant to be, will be.”

“(I’m looking for someone who is) responsible for the actions,” she said. “He takes responsibility, (has) good teeth, can hold his own and I don’t have to keep an eye on (them). Just a good, genuine person who has his own motivations in life.”

When asked if her attempt to find a partner could lead to marriage, she replied: “I don’t know. Not really.”

“There will be moments where I’m just like, ‘You know what? I understand that my life is really big and I understand that it takes a really, really, really special, unique person to want to deal with that,'” she said. “I think my life is really fun and whoever comes into my life is going to have a lot of fun. I’m not lonely, so I’m good. I have my kids, I have my family, but it would be nice to share your life with someone, but when you do, it’s so big… I don’t take it lightly.”
