Kylie Kelce she’s finding her own podcast identity with her show “Not Gonna Lie,” but she gives a few shout-outs to her husband here and there, Jason Kelce.
News broke in November 2024, Kylie joined Jason and his brother, Travis Kelcein the podcast world. “Not Gonna Lie” debuted the following month and allowed Kylie to re-introduce herself. “I have a husband who you may know somehow got me into this mess,” she joked in her first episode. “I just swiped and here we are.
While she sat with her wide range of guests — from the Olympian Alex Morgan to the influencer Allison Kuchova — Kylie made frequent references to Jason and “the other podcast” (aka “New Heights”). She told the audience as well what sets her show apart from her husband and brother-in-law, often stressing that “I Won’t Lie” is about “women supporting women”.
In her first announcement, Kylie admitted she was “just as shocked” as everyone else to get behind the mic. “But if everyone’s going to talk about me and my family, you might as well hear it from me,” she added.
Scroll down to see how Kylie subtly referenced Jason on her podcast — and shamelessly called him:
“If you look at another podcast whose hosts I know, they’ve gotten better over time as well. So I’d really appreciate some patience please,” Kylie teased during her debut episode.
Kylie went on to joke about one particular piece of “New Heights” lore. “My producer, we’ll call her Queen Emma,” she said. “It’s because they downgraded the executive producer to an intern on the second podcast. That’s right, you heard me. Intern Brandon is actually an executive producer. But do you know what we’re doing here? We’re lifting people up.”
“We’re so lucky my husband makes cute girls,” Kylie said in December 2024, a month after revealing she and Jason had fourth daughter on the way. “If you look at the pictures of Wyatt’s kids and the pictures of Jason’s kids side by side, it looks like we cloned him. …Believe me, I’m desperate to create a child that looks like me in any way.”
While answering questions from fans, Kylie revealed whether Jason will be looking after their daughters during her filming. “How can I say this nicely? No,” she admitted, clarifying that her stance “is not a knock on her husband” as a parent. “He’s busier than he’s ever been. He’s working so hard right now and he’s really grinding.”
Kylie explained that she prefers to “schedule childcare” when she’s booked. “I’m just making sure I’m covered, and if that means he’s in the house and someone else is there, then that’s what it’s all about,” she said.
Kylie was the first guest It’s always sunny in Philadelphia star Kaitlin Olsonwho was surprised to hear that Kylie — a Philadelphia native — “never watched a full episode” of the show. “(It feels) like when people come up to Jason and they have this truth serum effect that they’re like, ‘I’m not a football fan,'” she joked.
When Kylie asked Olson for an episode recommendation, she specifically said “the one where the cameo of my husband (and his friend) Beau (Allen had) doesn’t count.
The episode in question, “The Gang Wins the Big Game”, aired in 2018. Olson had nothing but good things to say about Jason from his short time on set, to which Kylie replied, “Try living with him.”
In December 2024, when a fan claimed that Kylie was the funniest member of the Kelce family, Jason shared his thoughts via X, writing: “Funniest looking.” Naturally, Kylie used her podcast platform to respond.
“I regularly tell him he’s not funny,” she said. “I have to do it because there are so many people who laugh at his jokes and who tell him he’s hilarious.” I’ll take it, I can look the funniest. I mean Kelce’s genes are strong. I’m a tough eccentric… so I can handle it.”
She added: “I think sometimes he forgets that I actually see his tweets.”
Longtime fans of “New Heights” are well aware of the story on Kylie’s quest to find a pet—and they know Jason has no interest in bringing home a cat. “Believe it or not, I love and respect my husband,” Kylie teased on her podcast, sharing an update on the hilarious feud. “And if he doesn’t want a cat right now, I don’t necessarily want to do it against his will. I think there will come a time when we break him and he not only says it’s okay, but that he’s on board with the decision. And in a loving marriage, I like to respect his feelings.”
“I have to discipline my children and my husband. Who are we kidding?” Kylie joked during a December 2024 episode with the sportscaster Charissa Thompson. “It’s time to go to bed and she’s tucking the kids into bed.” I’m like, ‘Hey, we’re done.’ Can we be adults for two minutes?”
After the premiere of Jason’s ESPN show, They call it Late Nightin January 2025, Kylie explained how she ended up becoming his publicist. “Getting involved is the perfect way to describe how I ended up as a broadcaster for this,” she explained. “My husband asked me to participate and being the supportive wife that I am, I said yes. Hesitantly.”
When asked if she was nervous about appearing on TV, Kylie compared it to her wedding day. “I was nervous walking down the aisle because all eyes were on me,” she said. “And then when I saw Jason, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m fine.’ I can walk down the aisle. I just focus on him.”
She added: “Likewise… I get to watch Jason do his thing (on ESPN) and he’s the center of attention and all that, and he’s crushing it. I didn’t need to be nervous.”
“The online landscape from when I met Jason 10 years ago to what it is now — or what I understand through other people’s explanations — I’m so glad I captured it on the front,” Kylie said when she was answering a listener’s question. question in January 2025. “First of all, I had no horror stories before I met Jason because I had never met someone on Tinder in person before Jason. I haven’t been there in so long. … I think I won Tinder.”
