Shannon Beador clears the air around her Real Housewives of Orange County costar Alexis Bellinoleaving the show.
“I have zero power with the network or production or anyone and I would never want to interfere with anyone’s livelihood,” Shannon, 60, told exclusively. My Weekly at her and Katie Ginella‘Let’s Help LA fundraiser. “But Alexis Bellino is a TV star and has been a TV star for 15 years, so I’m sure she’ll have a new gig soon.
Alexis, 48, initially starred in Bravo’s RHOC during seasons 5 through 8, returning for season 18 last year. She claimed it in December 2024 she wasn’t “asked back” for the upcoming season.
“Nobody asked me out next season,” Alexis said on an episode of the “Going Rogue” podcast. “I can’t say it was a shock, it wasn’t a shock. It was a tough conversation. … I guess I wasn’t really ready (because) I didn’t think the contracts were coming out — like, I thought we had more time. … (So) it was a shock when the call came, but I was never shocked by the information.”
Most of Alexis’ appearances in season 18 revolved around the argument with the AND Shannon show. Alexis’ fiance, John Janssenwas previously in a relationship and legal battle with Shannon. After Shannon and John, 63, broke up, he claimed she refused to pay him $75,000 for her previous facelift. Shannon reportedly agreed to pay John half of the amount, but apparently changed her mind when she allegedly discovered he had video footage of her arrest in September 2023. They settled the case out of court in November 2024 for a reported $60,000.
For her part, Shannon has since moved on from the drama.
“I spent a lot of time over the holidays thinking about where I was a year ago,” she said Our on Saturday. “I was at a point where I had just seen (John giving Alexis) a promise ring on social media and I didn’t know who was going to come back on the show. I didn’t know if I had a single friend on the show.”
The Bravo personality added: “It’s very overwhelming for me because I look at where I am today after a year and I thought I was in a hole that I couldn’t get out of and it’s possible because I’m probably in one of the best places I’ve ever been. I’m so grateful to my loved ones who have supported me and the fans who have supported me.”
Shannon went on to note that she is “still working on herself” but is grateful for all the support she has received during the drama.
“I have a lot of work to do and I’m grateful for everything that’s happened in the last year because it’s brought me to where I am today,” Shannon said.
In addition, Shannon also spends time supporting those in need. She co-hosted a benefit at The Bungalow in honor of Emergency Network LA with costar Katie, raising funds for those affected. the recent wildfires in LA.
“If I was still living in Los Angeles, I would be living in Pacific Palisades and every friend I have there has lost their home,” said Shannon, who was wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress. Our. “When I flew to New York, Katie texted me and said, ‘Would you be interested make a collection for everything that’s going on in LA?” and I said, ‘Absolutely.’ It’s been a week of planning, but I think we had a successful turnout tonight.”
Shannon and Katie, 40, wanted to hold a gathering in a “community-type place” after being heartbroken by all the devastation in the area. (The fire destroyed thousands of acres and killed more than 25 people.)
“Everybody I think needs to be a little more prepared, but I’m devastated for all the people not only in Pacific Palisades, but I know people who lost their homes in Pasadena and Altadena,” Shannon said. “People need money, so we wanted to give it a shot tonight.
