Travis Kelce is the biggest Swiftie in Kansas City – and he is not afraid tell the world
Speaking to reporters after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans divisional playoffsKelce, 35, was asked if he felt 10 years younger after his remarkable performance on the field.
“Twenty-two, honey,” Kelce replied on Saturday, Jan. 18, referring to his girlfriend Taylor Swift‘with Red song of the same name.
Kelce — who scored a touchdown in the game — provided further insight into his post-game mindset when he spoke with Audacy’s 96.5 Fan.
“It was a good feeling to finally do it,” he added. “Man, there’s nothing better than playoff football, especially here at Arrowhead (Stadium). The crowd is always electrifying, but the feeling you get from playing with these guys who work all year (is) the most gratifying feeling when you get to the top.”
A win on Saturday advances the Chiefs to the AFC Championship against either the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills. The title holder will then represent the conference in the 2025 Super Bowl and take on the NFC champion. (The Washington Commanders will face either the Los Angeles Rams or the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC matchup.)
If the Chiefs get there and win Super Bowlthey would become the first NFL team to win three consecutive Lombardi Trophies. Kelce isn’t thinking too far into the future just yet.
“I’m focused on the next (game),” Kelce, himself a three-time Super Bowl winner, told reporters. “You don’t get here and have all these championships (by focusing on that). You get here with the right mentality and presence.”
Kelce’s family — including girlfriend Swift, 35 — was in attendance during Saturday’s game. The pop star stunned in head-to-toe Chanel, sitting in a private box with his parents, younger brother, Kelce’s people and the WNBA star Caitlin Clark. The rest of the crew wore Chiefs gear.
Swift and Kelce have been together since 2023, shortly before she started attending his Chiefs games.
“Me and Taylor are happy and I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium,” Kelce said on the Wednesday, Jan. 15 episode of the series. The Stephen A. Smith Show. “He loves going to Arrowhead and going to the games and cheering me on, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing those dreams.
The tight end showed up a few days earlier on The Pat McAfee Showsaying he felt “fired up” about the playoffs.
“Feeling 22 again baby,” he joked at the time, again referencing Swift’s song of the same name. “Let’s go!”
