Meta attracts TikTok creators with $5,000 bonuses, content deals, free verification

Meta lures TikTok creators to their platform with the promise of cash bonuses, content deals, and support to grow their communities. On Tuesday, the company announced that eligible TikTok creators will be able to earn “up to $5,000” in bonuses for posting Reels on Facebook and Instagram within three months.

These creators will also have access to the Facebook Content Monetization program, which allows creators to earn money for their videos, images and text posts on Facebook. In addition, Meta will offer content suggestions to help some TikTok creators grow their followers on Instagram and Facebook.

Some TikTok creators will also receive a one-year trial of Meta Verified, which includes a verified token, account support, and anti-spoofing. (The company did not share the criteria for who gets access.)

In the case of TikTok Online again in the US The ByteDance-owned social network is still missing from app stores after going dark for 12 hours over the weekend. Although President Donald Trump signed the order on Monday to delay the deadline for TikTok’s ban by 75 days and told the Justice Department not to impose the ban’s penalties, it is unclear when (or if) the app will return to Apple and Google’s app stores.

Meta is clearly taking advantage of TikTok’s current problems by poaching and engaging some of the service’s creators.

The company also said it has made changes to Reels to make the short-form video format more attractive to TikTok creators. For example, US-based Instagram creators can now post Reels for up to three minutes, a significant increase from the previous 90-second limit. However, creators on TikTok can record videos of up to 10 minutes and in some cases upload content. up to an hour in length.

In addition, Meta will make Reels more prominent as the company plans to recommend Reels in more places on Facebook and Instagram. For example, people may start seeing recommended reels at the top of their home feed. Plus, they can see more reels in search results.

To further court TikTok creators, Meta notes that it has optimized its rating systems to allow new creators to reach new audiences.

Meta will also allow creators to display their Instagram, TikTok or YouTube handles and follower count on their Facebook profiles to increase their credibility on the platform.

Meta has already made other changes to take advantage of TikTok’s current uncertainty in the US

On Sunday, Meta announced that it will launch a A program similar to Capcut called Edit next month. On Friday, he presented the innovations To make it easier for Instagram users to find Reels that their friends and followers like on the platform.
