The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul offered insight into her exercise routine — or lack thereof — following her breakup Dakota Mortensen.
During an Instagram Q&A on Monday, Jan. 20, Taylor, 30, was asked how she keeps fit, to which she replied, “I don’t exercise because I don’t eat enough calories to burn them off. No diet, just stress.”
Taylor was then asked how he was doing cope with her breakup of Dakota, 31, after the pair sparked speculation of a split last month.
“I cry every day. This is grief, let it pass so it can pass and you can heal,” she noted. “The more you resist the pain that passes, the longer the suffering, the harder you learn.”
Taylor and Dakota still to confirm their relationship status, but the two dated on and off since then The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered on Hulu in September 2024. Dakota was Taylor’s first public boyfriend after divorcing her husband Tate Paul following their “soft” sex scandal.
Viewers got a front-row seat to Taylor and Dakota’s tumultuous relationship — including her arrest for domestic violence — during the reality series’ first season.
Taylor was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief after a heated fight with Dakota in February 2023. Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated assault six months later, while the other four charges were dismissed with prejudices. In March 2023, she reached a plea agreement.
Taylor previously admitted My Weekly that it wasn’t easy to watch the drama unfolds on the screen.
“I feel like I vented on my mum and was a bit harsh – and he’s very sensitive – so I feel like it could be a lot harder for him,” she exclusively said. A month later, Taylor revealed she and Dakota were at odds off screen.
“I’d say we’re working on things and I really have no idea where we’re going from here. We’re not quite together, but not quite done. I don’t know where the future is with him and me,” she admitted Our. “It’s just a lot. So I’m coping and trying to cope. But I don’t want to watch that show.”
