Influencer Rebecca Wylie Simms (otherwise known as Boo Simms) is remembered for her love of food and the family that follows her unexpected death.
“This loss is immeasurable and our hearts are completely broken,” said sister Rebecca, the twin. Sarah Simms Hendrixshared in statement on Instagram on Sunday, January 19 “Boo was our magic maker, our colorful painter, and the brightest light I’ve ever known.”
According to Sarah’s post, her beloved family member he died at the age of 39 following complications from recent surgery.
To cope with the loss, Lady & Larder – the cheese and charcuterie shop co-founded by the duo – is temporarily closing one of its stores in California.
“Your continued support means more than words could ever say,” Sarah shared in a statement. “Thank you from the bottom of my being for standing with us in this unimaginable time.

In addition to building two Lady & Larder locations together, Sarah and Rebecca have created countless memories together.
Whether serving food at charity events or holiday celebrations like Halloween along with their families, this bond of sisterhood seemed unbreakable.
“We’ve been sharing our birthdays (and pretty much everything else) since the beginning of time, obvs 💎💎,” Sarah wrote via Instagram in December 2021.
Although Sean has stayed away from social media, Rebecca was quick to praise her husband for being a fantastic father to their two children.
“You make it easy with dad ❤️,” she wrote via Instagram in August 2024 at Sean’s birthday party. “We are lucky to call you ours. Thank you for being a morning person and keeping us all on time, thank you for being the comedy we all need after a long day – the best tickle monster for the girls, the car washer for mom and the master waffle maker for us all. Salt and pepper hair looks so good on that big daddy. Aging like fine wine – I love you to the moon and then some.’
Rebecca often shared photos of her eldest daughter Mavis on social media as they enjoyed adventures around the city.
“Age 3 Mavis is my favorite age so far,” Rebecca wrote via Instagram in September 2024 after a trip to Paso Robles, California.
In a separate post, Rebecca praised her “sweet bun” for always starting a sentence with “why” and finding a way to make mommy laugh.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about how this series of relentless inquiries actually makes me stop and think about all the little things in our daily routine, the little bits of magic that I tend to pass by,” she said. over Instagram in November 2024. “Sweet girl, I admire you 💫 and watching you explore the world with such vibrant curiosity is such a gift.”
Rebecca’s youngest child proved to be a “leo to the bone” as she showed off her adventurous spirit at just two years old.
“Nothing can stop this girl when she puts her mind to it,” Rebecca wrote via Instagram in August 2024. “She’s a puzzle master, mud kitchen queen, loves animals more than people, lives for a good bubble bath, her favorite snack is chips and salsa, loves rock n roll, plays air drums, the best turtleneck and my last baby 🥹❤️🔥 I can’t believe how fast it’s going. Blink of an eye…”
After Rebecca died, her brother posted a heartfelt tribute on social media with various photos.
“I never imagined living in a world without you,” Matt he wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 20. “You were such a force of nature – so radiant, brilliant and full of life. Your bright smile and contagious energy brought color to every room and joy to every person who was lucky enough to meet you. To Mavis and Bertie, you were the most amazing mother and the best sister I could ever ask for.”
Matt vowed to “care and nurture” his sister’s girls “with every fiber of my being and make sure they are always surrounded by love and receiving endless hugs.”
