The sky is the limit for Hoda Kotb after her recently Today display the output.
Kotb, 60, bid a tearful farewell to the NBC morning show on January 10. After nearly 30 years working for the network, the TV personality plans to enter the wellness space by launching her own wellness company and app.
“She will earn much more than she earned in it Today show,” a source exclusively shares in the magazine’s latest issue My Weekly. “Now that she’s not working full-time at NBC, Hoda will be working with brands and can be paid to endorse them. She could also make several hundred thousand dollars for speaking engagements on topics like ‘changing your life at 60.'”
Kotb announced that she was “launching a wellness app and company” during the Jan. 6 performance The Kelly Clarkson Showsharing: “(It’s going to include) retreats and podcasts and all kinds of things we can get together (and do)… It’s not like going to Mexico with your girls, which is fun, but something where when you leave, ‘Oh my God, I feel transformed.” I feel different.”
In an interview with Page Six earlier this month, Kotb also revealed that she had signed a new contract to serve as a special correspondent for Today and NBC, which includes coverage of the next two Olympics. “I want to be a supporting character in a team that already exists, so I’m going to step in and just have a role there. And then I’ll do my ‘Making Space’ podcast, which I enjoy and love so much,” she told the outlet. “And for Today show, I think we talked about doing something every four to six weeks, just a little bit.”
The source detailed Kotb’s new role at the network, saying Our that she will “focus on positive stories she cares about, like women’s empowerment,” and will appear on Today “about 10 times” per year. “The sky’s the limit,” notes an insider.
So far, Kotb is enjoying some much-deserved quality time her two daughters — Haley, 8, and Hope, 5 — that she shares with her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman. The former who announced their separation after eight years together in January 2022, recently they spent Christmas together with their children and reunited to celebrate Haley’s birthday on January 9th.
“Hoda is open to using this time to focus on her life (as well),” the source teases Our. “She’s ready to date again.” (Kotb shared in August 2024 that she she “submitted” her relationship with a mysterious man after three dates.)
Since withdrawing from Today, Jenna Bush Hager continues to co-host the fourth hour with a new name Today with Jenna and friendswith the assembly celebrity guest hosts. Craig Melvinmeanwhile, he filled Kotb’s role as Savannah Guthriehis coach.
Kotb surprised Melvin (45) and heartfelt poem for his first episode in the new role on January 13. “Craig! I’m moving forward, so reach out. Grab the baton, your world will expand.
