During an October 2024 episode of her podcast “Disrespectfully,” Maloney surprised listeners byhe is adjusting to his new relationship status.
“I have a boyfriend,” Maloney told his host Dayna Kathan. “Yeah, I’m in love, everyone. I’m really happy.”
Maloney decided not to name her significant other at the time, but added: “He’s the most amazing person I’ve ever met. He’s very nice and he makes me feel really special and he’s really special and yes, I’m really happy.”
When viewers were introduced to the staff at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant during the 2013 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, it was clear that they all had intertwined love lives. Later that month at Maloney’s The Vanderpump Rules costar Scheana Shay confirmed speculation that Martin he was a mysterious man.
“A few things have been online recently. I saw little bits and pieces. But let me tell you, he couldn’t have been nicer,” Shay shared on her own podcast. “He’s from San Diego and we were just talking about it. Then I ran into them again later at the hotel at the end of the night and (he) was just such a sweet guy. I caught the end of their set.”
Maloney has since shared more photos from her two-year romance with Martin after its division from Tom Schwartz. The former couple were married for six years before their divorce in 2022. Schwartz, for his part, went on with Sophia Almost.

“I went to see my boyfriend this weekend. He has to travel for work, so I went to meet him and talk to him and spend some time,” Maloney shared on her “Disrespectful” podcast for the first time, referring to her relationship. “It was really amazing because I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and just being able to spend some quality time and just be with him was really necessary and really nice.”

In response to a question from fans, Maloney’s co-star Shay confirmed that she had met Martin.
“We were all at the artists’ trailers hanging out (at the event) and he and Katie went up while I was standing at the taco truck in line for food. I said hello to her,” Shay recalled on his “Scheananigans” podcast. “She introduced me to her friend.
Shay continued: “We actually left Fall Out Boy a little early because they were playing at the same time. But I wanted to watch Sleeping With Sirens. I wanted to see what the band was all about. They were really good.”

Kent poked fun at the “clueless” Shay for discussing Maloney’s affair on a public platform. “(Katie and Nick) haven’t confirmed (their relationship) because what I’ve read is that she’s going through a messy divorce and they have to keep quiet about it,” she claimed.
While some things never change, the cast of Vanderpump Rules is used to shake-ups… and tweaks. Schwartz showed his support for Maloney, saying Page Six he was “so happy” for her. and Martin.
“I haven’t met her new man, but I’m so happy for her,” he said. “I mean it, I like to see her happy.
Schwartz also offered an update on his dynamic with Maloney, explaining, “We’re friends. We’re not BFFs – I don’t want to overstate it, but we’re cool. We are in a good place. We are friends again. There is no friction or tension.”
