(NASDAQ:), today announced a major expansion at its electric vehicle service center in Manalapan, New Jersey, positioning the company for rapid growth and success in the rapidly growing automotive market in the Garden State. .
In anticipation of additional Envirotech vehicles being delivered to customers under the New Jersey Zero-Emission Inventive Program (“NJ ZIP”), the company has expanded the capacity of its New Jersey service center by adding balance battery and service equipment and capacity. This will allow Envirotech’s customers to repair vehicles and get back into operation faster.

In addition to newly added battery service and balancing capabilities, Envirotech’s electric vehicle service center offers detailed vehicle inspections and repairs, including tires and brakes.

NJ ZIP is the driver of $90 million in vouchers launched by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (“NJEDA”) for Zero-Emission Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles. The pilot is funded by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (“RGGI”) assigned to NJEDA with the objective of reducing harmful emissions, particularly in cities disproportionately affected by transportation emissions, and creating economic opportunities within the country. The program will award vouchers with base values between $20,000 and $175,000.
The goal of the program is to accelerate the adoption and use of zero-emission medium and heavy vehicles within New Jersey; reducing domestic emissions; and continue to allow NJEDA to decide and stimulate market readiness, to evaluate the effectiveness of financial conditions and program planning, and to test methods to measure the economic impact of such adoption. The test is being used as a vehicle to support the growth of NJ’s zero-emissions environment, with the rapid adoption of zero-emission vehicles as the first step to attracting more jobs and investment, as other vehicle programs and regulations are ongoing. across many government agencies.
