According to police records, the woman allegedly told the Burbank Police Department that “her boyfriend picked her up and threw her to the ground.” In response, Kennedy’s legal team issued a statement on his behalf.
“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made against James by the Burbank Police Department,” his attorneys said in a statement to Us. “It is our understanding that there were no injuries and we hope that after careful consideration, city officials will decide not to file formal charges.”
A few days later, 29-year-old Lewber commented on the incident. “Thank you to everyone who reached out to me with love and support and for checking in on me,” she wrote via her Instagram story in December 2024. “I’m fine and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.’
