Prince Harry has settled his lawsuit against News Group Newspapers (NGN), which owns the British tabloid The Sun. In a statement released to Us Weekly on Wednesday, January 22, NGN said it agreed to pay Harry, 40, “significant damages” after he accused the company of illegally gathering information for stories about him and his family. Now, Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, has shared a statement of his own on Instagram after settling.

“It takes a huge amount of courage to stand up to big media organizations like this and incredible tenacity to win against them,” Charles wrote alongside a screenshot of the BBC’s caption, which noted that Harry would pay “substantial damages”.
