Taiwan’s HTC sells part of XR unit to Google for $250 million Via Reuters

TAIPEI (Reuters) – Taiwan’s HTC said on Thursday it will sell its augmented reality (XR) unit to Google (NASDAQ:) for $250 million, and other members of the Taiwanese company will join the US.

The process is expected to close in the first quarter of this year, HTC said.

The two companies will explore other opportunities for future cooperation, HTC added.
