Reinhart, 28, praised Martina, 26, for his “love and support” via Instagram Stories on Thursday, Jan. 23, following her candid chat with I magazine.
The cover story titled “Lili Reinhart Fights for Her Health – and Yours” was published on Wednesday, January 22nd. Riverdale the actress revealed that she was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, a chronic disease that causes irritation and inflammation of the bladder or bladder wall.
“Also. I could never have made it through life without my partner. It’s not easy having a chronically ill girlfriend — when I barely left the house for months, couldn’t walk because of the pain, and felt incredibly depressed about the shift in my quality of life,” Reinhart wrote to to the honest image of Martin through Instagram stories.
“Jack’s love and support never wavered for a second when my body was really breaking down,” she added.
Reinhart and actor Martin were linked first in April 2023 when they were spotted kissing outside LAX. Since then, they have made several public appearances together, including red carpet events. They also often write about themselves on Instagram.
Martin and Reinhart recently shared a photo shoot with a holiday theme with her dog on Instagram in December.
“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our little family,” they captioned the post.
In her I In the interview, Reinhart shared the bumpy road to the final diagnosis after months of doctor visits and procedures, including a cystoscopy. The star also posted a series of photographs from various medical appointments via Instagram on Thursday.
“Being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis while searching for answers to a mysterious autoimmune/inflammatory disease has made 2024 the hardest year of my life,” Reinhart wrote in the caption.
“I was inspired to speak out after my grandmother was ignored by doctors for months when she showed clear signs of cancer – and only after her own strength and advocacy was she had the blood test that diagnosed it. ” And by then the cancer had spread,” she added.
Reinhart continued, “The most important thing I took away from this experience is the absolute need to advocate for my own health. Don’t let the doctor gaslight you or ease your pain. I hope the men and women out there struggling to find answers feel even the tiniest bit of my experience.”
