The judge rejects the mother’s extradition challenge

A judge has rejected the challenge of an American mother to extradition for accusations that murdered two of her children in Colorado and “fled” to London.

The nine -year -old daughter of Kimberlee Singler, Elianna and her seven -year -old son, Aden, were found dead on December 19, 2023 in Colorado Springs.

Prosecutors who acted on behalf of US officials said that Mrs. Singler, 36, fled “from the United States and was arrested in western London 11 days later.

District judge John Zani told the Westminster Magistrates that he rejected Mrs. Singler’s challenge against extradition and said the case now passed to the Secretary of the Interior to decide if the 36 -year -old should be sent from Return to the United States.

Previously, the Court heard in September That the supposed crimes of Mrs. Singler were “committed in the context of the acrimony of judicial procedures” related to the custody of their children with her ex -husband Kevin Wentz.

Prosecutor Joel Smith said that on December 19, 2023, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a 911 call that reports a robbery in a residence of Colorado at 00:29 local time (06:29 GMT).

When the officers arrived at the defendant’s address, they found two dead children and a “blood stained gun” that was discovered on the floor of the room.

Smith said DNA tests were carried out in the weapon and a knife that revealed the presence of mixed profiles that coincide with the children and Mrs. Singler.

A third child, who has not been appointed, was found with a serious injury to his neck. She was taken to the hospital and survived.

Smith said that Mrs. Singler blamed her husband for the attack, but it was discovered that she had been driving a “GPS truck” in Denver, giving what the prosecutor described as a “complete and verifiable alibi.”
