The famous Annual Golf event of Tiger Woods, The Invitational Genesis, is be moved From Los Angeles to San Diego after the devastating forest fires damaged the original course.
The PGA announced Friday that the event will move to 123 miles to the south to the Torrey Pines golf course in the Jolla neighborhood in San DiegoThe Farmers Insurance Site of this open week.
Woods says the event will be a platform to help fire victims.

“We are grateful to the city of San Diego and Torrey Pines for organizing the invitational genesis of 2025, and all who have communicated in support of the tournament,” Woods said in a statement. “While Riviera remains the home of Invitational Genesis, we hope to play in another championship caliber golf course this year and use the tournament to support those affected by fires in the Los Angeles area.”
The PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan also expressed his gratitude.

The Riviera Country Club, where the event was originally played, was not destroyed by fires. However, these are problems of power and water, and the tournament is moving out of respect for the victims of the fire.
Invitational Genesis is expected to return to Riviera Country Club in 2026.
