President Donald Trump confirmed Friday that the security detail provided to Dr. Anthony Fauci at the expense of the taxpayer.
The National Health Institutes (NIH) requested safety for Fauci in 2020 to protect it from the threats he received as the main health official and the public spokesman during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trump previously revoked the security authorizations of 51 intelligence officials who had mistaken and former CIA director Mike Pompeo.
