Flight passengers debate the time needed to catch their connecting planes

A Reddit user posted a question on the “r/americanairlines” forum, wondering if his grandmother would have “enough time to connect.”

In addition to sharing a screenshot of the flight, the user said that his grandmother would travel from Cedar Rapids, Michigan, to Savannah, Georgia.

“Both flights are primary, which should help, but 55 minutes (between flights) still makes me a little nervous,” the person wrote.

Greg Chin, director of communications for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, shared that the connection does depend on the airlines and if the the flight is international or domestic.

“At least two hours is a good recommendation,” Chin said.
