After landing a big gig, she finds herself injured in an accident that leads her into the arms of Steve Edison (McConaughey), who she later learns is the groomsman at a high-profile wedding she’s about to work.
A heartwarming film has entered theaters Super Bowl weekend in 2001 — but that didn’t stop viewers from showing up in droves to help create Wedding planner success no. 1. Two decades later, Lopez and McConaughey they practically came together to reminisce in their time on set.
“I love the movie,” Lopez told McConaughey in January 2021. “I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me and said, you knowWedding planner was my favorite movie. After you’ve made so many movies, they bring that one (it’s special).”
