The governor of Virginia Occidental, Patrick Morrisey, announced on Tuesday that a dozen people had been arrested within a day after ordering cooperation between Charleston and federal immigration authorities.
At noon on Tuesday, 58 people in the mountain state were arrested within the regional prison system pending the verification of their migratory state.

Morrisey praised Trump and said that what the White House is doing is “absolutely correct.”
“We will take all appropriate measures to protect our citizens and work with the Trump administration to take energetic measures against illegal immigration,” Morrisey said in a statement separately to Fox News Digital.
