The governor of Virginia Occidental, Patrick Morrisey, announced on Tuesday that a dozen people had been arrested within a day after ordering cooperation between Charleston and federal immigration authorities.
At noon on Tuesday, 58 people in the mountain state were arrested within the regional prison system pending the verification of their migratory state.
