Ryan García has registered in Vada for drug tests before his heating fight on May 2 against Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero in Times Square in New York City.
Lance Pugmire information That Garcia (24-1, 20 KO) has registered in which Vada put the wheels on the move for his agreement of three fights with Turki al-Sheikh. This will make Devin Haney and his father, Bill Haney, happy. Of course, Devin cannot be close to fighting Ryan if José Ramírez destroys it on May 2.
DEV has received a underestimal slot at the García vs. event. Rolly de Turki. That has to be a difficult pill for Devin Haney to swallow, losing his position of honor as a starter and being degraded to the billboard. If Haney loses against José Ramírez, he could fall even beyond the chest. It can get worse.
Charity fight?
The plan is that Kingry faces Rolly (16-2, 13 kos) recently knocked out in what Garcia calls a “Case of charityThen potentially face Devin Haney in a rematch in October. The third fight for Ryan could come against the Ennis de Jaron ‘Boots’ in February 2026.
Fight Rolly is a terribly poor confrontation for Kingry, since he faces a guy who was knocked out in the eighth round by Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz last year on March 30. Garcia wanted to fight with Pitbull, but the former Welter of the recently beaten lightweight did not want to negotiate a fight before his clash on February 1 against Angel Fierro in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Rolly Romero was obviously chosen as the support of Ryan García because the boxing public is familiar with him of his fights against Gervonta Davis, Ismael Barroso and Pitbull Cruz. Even so, Rolly is a low quality opponent for Ryan, and there are many fighters to 140 with more talent but less recognition of names.
You could blindly choose any person in the top 15 of Light Welter and finish with a much better option for Garcia Pelee to Rolly Romero. I prefer to see Garcia risk losing the fight against one of the young weapons than to destroy Rolly in the main event of a PPV card.
Mercado too risky
The young talent promoted from the match room, Ernesto Mercado (17-0, 16 kos), would be ideal for use as Ryan’s opponent, but it would be too dangerous. Market seems to be the next star for the 140 -pound division. Everyone will avoid it.
