A New York doctor woman will be processed for prescribing prescribe abortion medications through telemedicine In Louisiana.
Dr. Margaret Carpenter was accused in Louisiana on Friday after allegedly using telemedicine to prescribe abortion medication to a patient.
Carpenter, his company and an associate were accused of serious crime for criminal abortion through abortions inductive, according to Associated Press.

It is not the first time that Carpenter faces accusations of illegal abortions.
Texas filed a demand Against her in December, claiming that she sent abortive pills to the State, the AP reported. She was not accused.

“We always knew that Roe V. Wade was not the end of the road for anti -abortion politicians,” Hochul wrote. “That is why I worked with the legislature to approve leading laws in the Nation to protect suppliers and patients. It is more critical than ever that states intensify and protect reproductive freedom, and I will never go back to this fight.”
The New York Attorney General, Letitia James, also issued a statement after the accusation, echoing the idea that abortion care should be considered health.
James called the criminalization of abortion care as “a direct and shameless attack on the body autonomy of Americans and their right to reproductive freedom.”

“This cowardly attempt by Louisiana to arm the law against suppliers outside the State is unfair and not American,” James wrote in the statement. “We will not allow the bad actors to undermine the ability of our suppliers to provide critical care. The abortion of medicines is safe, effective and necessary, and New York will ensure that it is available to all Americans who need it.”
Louisiana prohibits the use of telemedicine to provide abortions medications.

Louisiana imposes more restrictions on abortions than almost any other State, according to the Reproductive Rights Center.
This seems to be the first time since the United States Supreme Court revoked Roe v. Wade in 2022 that a doctor was criminally accused of sending abortive pills to another state, according to the AP.
