On Sunday night, February 2, at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan, Classa Shields made history when he defeated Danielle Perkins and became the first boxer to win the indisputable heavyweight title.

Standing at 6 feet even, Perkins had a four -inch high advantage, and in the official weighing, Perkins weighed 177.2 pounds, while the shields weighed 173.6.
On the night of fighting it seemed that Perkins was rehydrated among the neighborhood of the 190-200 pounds mark. Once the bell rang it officially starting the game, Perkins used left -handed posture while trying to establish the jab, but when he threw the jab, Shields countered by landing an acute combination.
In the second round, the shields focused on landing the jab and the right hand towards the body. In the last seconds of Round number two, Perkins pressed forward, but Shields seemed comfortable fighting the back while hitting Perkins with another striking combination.
At the beginning of the third round, Shields landed a right above the right that eliminated Perkins. During the rest of the 3rd, Shields obtained multiple overhand rights, but Perkins showed resilience when he entered into survival mode for the rest of the round.

Later in the sixth, Shields landed a left hook followed by another big right hand. As the time ended in 7, Shields connected with another big right hand, and she closed the round landing a buckwater.
Perkins came out in the ninth trying to be more aggressive when he pressed forward and was hit by a great shot from the left. Perkins continued to press forward, but his space was not up to the pair, since he was suffocating his work.
In the tenth and last round, Danielle Perkins was looking for a miracle while Classa Shields was ready to close the show. Perkins was aggressive, but with remaining 13 seconds, Shields landed a great right hand that sent Perkins to the canvas.
Perkins was able to stand up, and a few seconds later, the bell officially rang the championship fight. In the end, Classa Shields won the unanimous decision victory for the scores of (100-89, 97-92, 99-90).
With the victory, Classa “Gwoat” Shields (16-0, 3 kos) became the first boxer to win the distinction of being an undisputed world champion of three divisions. During his interview after the fight, Shields explained that he did not use his jab so much due to the fact that he injured his left shoulder during the training camp.
As for his plans for the rest of 2025, Shields wants to enter the ring twice more. Its potential opponent list includes Franchon Crews-Dezurn, Savannah Marshall, the legend of MMA Cris Cyborg and the legend of retired boxing Laila Ali.
