A Jamaican man illegally in the United States was arrested in the Panhandle de Florida Last week for sexual crimes that involve a teenager, according to the Sheriff’s office of Bay County.
Sheriff Tommy Ford said Damian Gulgar, 44, is accused of illegal sexual activity with a minor and participating in sexual relations without revealing a positive HIV diagnosis.
Gulgar, who was arrested on January 29, allegedly admitted to having been HIV positive and be sexually involved with a teenager during an interview with the police.
Ford said the office realized the crime when he received a report surrounding the Sexual abuse of a child In early January. The adolescent victim was interviewed by the Child Protection team at the Children’s Defense Center on the Gulf Coast, where the encounter with an adult man was revealed, later identified as Gulgar.

“The sexual abuse of children is something that we are not going to tolerate. We have zero tolerance for that. We are proactive with that,” Ford said.
He also asked that the parents monitor the accounts of their children’s social networks and educate them about the dangers of meeting with people who have met online.
In the illegal immigration front, Ford said that the application of immigration and customs (ICE) was notified of Gulgar’s arrest, which placed it in an ice cellar.
“Once the state charges are resolved, it will become ice custody,” Ford said.
