The IBF and the OMB medium weight champion, Janibek Alimkhanuly (16-0, 11 kos), will defend their two belts against the little known #7 IBF, classified Anauel Ngamissengue (14-0, 9 kos) within 5 April in Astana in Astana in Astana in Astana in Astana in Astana, Kazakhstan.
This will be a fight back home for the 2016 Janibek, 31, born in Zhiland, Kazakhstan, and now lives in Oxnard, California.
Boxing fans on social networks are confused about who Ngamissengue is, born in Congo, based in Congo, based in France, because few people have heard of him.
This is probably the only contender that Janibek’s management could obtain because none of the other 160 or notable contestants want to have something to do with him. Due to its power, left -handed posture and technical skills, it is one of the combatants to avoid.
The medium weight division lacks talent, and combatants are very selective about who they fight. The undefeated contender and the highly exaggerated British fighter Hamzah Sheeraz chose to challenge the WBC champion Carlos Adames instead of the Janibek two -belt unified champion. It seems quite obvious why. Janibek is terrible news for combatants trying to build a future, especially if they are vulnerable in the department of Chin.
Ngamissengue’s only decent victory in his six -year -old curriculum is Ukrainian Fedir Chekashynwho exceeded a majority decision of eight rounds two years ago on August 26, 2023, in Wroclaw, Poland. The two fought on the Oleksandr Usyk billboard against Daniel Dubois, so they caught some attention.
Ngamissengue’s fights
Sandro joke (12-32-2)
Fyodor Czerkaszyn
Matteo Hache (9-1)
Martin Owono (8-40-5)
Jean Nestor Nkoulou Mama (4-0)
Kassimou Mouhamadou (7-5)
Predrag Cvetkovic (6-20-3)
It is still difficult to know why the IBF has given Ngamissengue a #7 classification with its organization because its curriculum is full of lower level opposition from top to bottom. In addition, none of the other three sanctioning bodies has it in the Top 15, which tells you that they do not see it as worthy of making its higher level.
Again, Janibek promoters must be desperate to select Ngamissengue as his opponent. Unfortunately, it has been reduced to fighting someone from which few fans, even the hardcore boxing variety, have heard. Janibek can eventually obtain the remarkable opposition you are looking for, but probably when 100% washed. Until then, I hope to see him fight the names.
Janibek comes from a ninth round victory over Andrei Mikhailovich on October 4. That is another name that few fans have heard or seen.
If you want to get more payment, Janibek will need to bite the bullet and move up to 168, where it will be smaller than your opposition. You will get more fights in this way, but the knockouts will not arrive so fast. Being a highly qualified left -handed, it will probably continue to be avoided, even up there.
