USPS temporarily suspend some incoming packages from China, Hong Kong

The US postal service said on Tuesday that all the incoming packages of the positions of China and Hong Kong are temporarily suspending.

The change is effective immediately and will remain “until again notice”, According to an alert Posted on the website of the agency. The large cards and envelopes, called “floors”, sent from China and Hong Kong will not be affected, the USPS said.

The announcement occurs after President Donald Trump signed on Saturday executive orders that impose tariffs on China, Mexico and Canada. Trump agreed to retain on Monday to impose 25% tariffs in Canada and Mexico for 30 days, but the 10% tax on China’s goods remains.
