The Democrats of the House of Representatives presented legislation on Thursday that seeks to ensure the personal data of Americans in the middle of the Government Efficiency Department (Doge) Sweeping expenses.
The Democrats of the House of Representatives announced the Data Protection Law of the taxpayers to “protect the American people from this power out of control, permanently, and ensure that the financial, personal, medical and confidential information of the American people are protected. “
Musk and his team in Doge have spent the last two weeks going to several government departments and identifying the “wasteful” spending where cuts can be made.
Musk was recently granted Access to the Treasury Departmentthat administers federal finances and taxes, where he has “read only” access to the government’s payment system, an official of the Treasury Department to members of the Congress said Tuesday.

Democrats have vocally opposed the sweeping, which suggests during a press conference on Thursday that Musk is getting access to the personal access of Americans and introducing legislation to avoid any effort.
The representative Hakeem Jeffries, DN.Y., said that the Republicans are “working for Elon Musk and tender a multimillionaire puppet teacher not eligible, inexplicable and out of control.”

“Why Elon Musk and his henchmen need access to names, social security numbers, addresses and birth dates of millions of Americans?” Jeffries asked.

“What are they doing with that information and why the Republicans of the House of Representatives do not stop them?” Jeffries said, adding that a Senate companions bill is expected to be introduced shortly.
In the midst of the democratic opposition to the sweeping of expenses, the secretary of the Treasury, Scott Besent, defended Musk and Dute.
“Elon Musk is the best entrepreneur of this generation,” Besent told Fox Business Larry Kudlow. “Doge is not going to fail. Many people are moving the cheese here in the capital, and when you listen to this squeak, then some interest of status quo is not happy.”

Thursday, a federal judge Temporarily blocked Doge from obtaining access to certain payment records from the Treasury Department.

According to a temporary restriction order, Treasury officials “will not provide access to any payment registration or registration system held within the Treasury Office (of the Treasury) of the tax service,” Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly wrote.
