Trump signs the order that prohibits the transgender women of women’s sports

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has signed an executive order that prevents transgender women from competing in female sports categories.

The order provides guidance, regulations and legal interpretations, and will enlist the Department of Education to investigate the secondary schools that are believed to be not complied with.

Republicans say that justice restores sports, but LGBT defense and human rights organizations have described movement as discriminatory.

The order, which immediately enters into force, largely covers secondary school, universities and base sports.

Several sports government organs, including swimming, athletics and golf, have prohibited transgender women from competing in the women’s female category if they have passed through male puberty.

According to White House officials who informed journalists on Wednesday morning, this last order empowers the Department of Education to investigate how schools implement title IX, a law of the United States that prohibits sexual discrimination in programs in the programs of education financed by the federal government.

An administration official said that the Executive Order will reverse the position of the Biden Administration that in April last year said that LGBT students would be protected by federal law, although it did not give specific guidance on transgender athletes.

“If you let men take over women’s sports teams or invade their locker room, it will be investigated for violations of title IX and will risk their federal funds,” Trump explained.

In addition, the White House plans to bring sports bodies, such as the National Collegiate Athletics Association, or NCAA, to come to the White House to meet athletes and their parents to discuss concerns.

The official who discussed the order, said that the United States would do everything possible to prevent transgender athletes from competing against females in international Olympic committees skills that take place in the US soil.

President Trump specified that the order would include the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

He has said that he will deny visas for transgender Olympic athletes who try to visit the United States to compete in Los Angeles Games.

Before signing the executive order, Trump declared that “the war against women’s sports is over,” saying that during the Los Angeles Games, “my administration will not keep and see men to overcome and hit the female athletes.”

He said he would lead the Secretary of National Security “to deny each and every one of the visa requests made by men trying fraudulently to the United States while identifying themselves as women athletes …”

The IOC has been approached to comment.

White House officials described policies as widely popular among Americans, and criticisms to guarantee “justice” for women in sports, as well as security.

In a statement, the president of the Human Rights Campaign Kelley Robinson said that the order “exposes young people to harassment and discrimination, embarrassing people to question the genre of children who do not conform to a close vision how they are supposed to dress or look. “

“For so many students, sports are about finding a place to belong,” Robinson added. “They are not partisan policies that make life difficult.”

Less than 1% of the population over 13 in the US.

On Trump’s first day in the position on January 20, he signed a separate order that requested that the federal government officially define sex as a man or woman.
