Bruno Surace hopes to be chosen for Canelo Álvarez’s next fight on May 4 in Riyadh. The undefeated one of the OMB classified #6 Surace (26-0-1, 5 kos) is one of the two combatants considered for the first fight of Álvarez of his newly signed 4 fight agreement with the Riyadan season of Turki Al-shirt. The other is the former medium -weight champion Jermall Charlo.
Sureace, 26, achieved great discomfort, Knocking Jaime Munguia In the sixth round on December 14 in Tijuana. That is the only remarkable victory in your curriculum, but it is enough to make it considered for the next Canelo fight in three months.
The quick right hand that Surace dropped Munguia inside the sixth round would give Canelo something to think about. He throws that firing so fast that it is difficult to see, and Canelo is not the most difficult guy to hit today. He uploaded many punishments in his last fight against the huge Edgar Berlanga of 193 pounds of 193 lb on September 14.
Canelo is likely to choose Jermall (33-0, 22 kos) because he is better known and more realized than surrection. However, using Charlo, 34, would be risky because he could leave the fight.
Choosing Jermall would be only for his Name recognition with older boxing fans who remembered him during his best years as an active fighter. It would be for superficial reasons because it is a fossil and forgotten.
With the many younger active fighters around Álvarez’s weight, it would seem completely pathetic to select Jermall as his opponent for May 4, but predictable. Clearly wants to have anything to do with David Benavidez and David Morrell.
Canelo wanted to fight Jermall in 2023, but chose his brother in a fight marketed as “indisputable against indisputable.” According to the reports, Jermall transmitted the idea of fighting Canelo.
Sureace and Charlo will not interest the United States fans, who see Jermall as yesterday’s news, inactive for many years, and looked below the average in their last two fights. If this were 2020, Charlo would be a great option, but not anymore.
Bruno Surace tells ESPN: “It would be an honor to fight Canelo in Riyadh, he is the point of reference and the boxing face. As I have demonstrated, when he put in the ring, I come to win. No matter the chances. ” https://t.co/om91e1aag5
