Star Wars fans who grew up with the original trilogy had everyone reason to think that the Jedi were very smart. After all, Obi-Wan Kenobi describes them as a guardian of peace and justice who protected the galaxy of a thousand generations, and Yoda was the final embodiment of other world wisdom. Unfortunately, the prequel trilogy introduced Jedi as collectively to have intelligence Jar-Jar Binks.
