Have you ever been disappointed with a movie that when you read or talk about it with your friends, did you think you were watching something completely different? I felt this type of intestine at the weekend when I finally turned on and steamed Hereditary on Netflix. By strengthening the family line -up is Steve Graham Gabriel Byrne, who tries to remain neutral and understand but slowly loses patience with Annie as he descends into madness when Hereditary progresses through his second and third acts.
On the contrary and in spite of all good things Hereditary He has it, his script still seems to be forced, which is unfortunate for a horror film that has a unique assumption. Ari Aster’s “tracks” throughout the film will remove any burden of critical thinking that should be placed on the viewer, and in my opinion it reduces the film its tension, although Colin Stetson’s film score makes a significant amount of heavy lifting to create a sense of pure fear.
