The Japanese Ministry of Finance Ministry loses sensitive files

An employee of the Japanese Ministry of Finance on one night with colleagues lost documents that contain the personal data of 187 suspicious people of drug smuggling, local media say.

According to the reports, the employee, who has not been appointed, drank nine glasses of beer during a five -hour night with co -workers in Yokohama on February 6.

The local media said he did not realize that he had lost his bag until he got out of his train trip home in another city, plunged.

The Ministry of Finance has said that it was “deeply unfortunate” for the incident that “publicly undermined public trust,” according to NHK’s public broadcaster.

The bag had contained documents that had the names and addresses of 187 alleged smuggers and receptors of marijuana seeds, the ministry said.

There were also contained commercial laptops with the personal data of the employee.

The employee, assigned to the Customs and Rate Office, was not appointed in the NHK report.

The BBC has communicated with the Ministry of Finance to comment on Tuesday, a holiday in Japan.

Alcohol has been seen for a long time as a social lubricant for thousands of years in Japan, where business agreements and difficult problems are discussed about beer and Sake bottles.
