Why does it have Hamas announced a delay Only days before the next group of hostages?
In one of his official statements, launched on Telegram, the group described its announcement as a “warning” to Israel and said it was giving the mediators “enough time to press the occupation (Israel) to fulfill their obligations.”
He said the “door remains open” for the next scheduled releases to move forward on Saturday.
The group seems to be giving time for the dead point to be resolved.
But what exactly is impasse?
Hamas lists a series of complaints, from delaying the return of displaced people, continuing to open fire on them and not allow the entry of certain types of humanitarian aid.
Other Palestinian officials who are not connected to Hamas have cited Israel’s reluctance to allow caravans to be to Gaza to house the vast number of Palestinians whose houses have been destroyed.
At a time when the Israeli government is openly discussing ways to encourage civilians to leave Gaza, the failure to give permits for poorly necessary temporal accommodation is allocating the Palestinian fears of expulsion.
The exacerbated fears, almost every day, by Donald Trump.
What began as a suggestion apparently out of the anthill that most Palestinians should leave while the Gaza Strip is rebuilt has become the president’s demand that everyone leaves and that the United States should take over and execute Loop.
As Trump continues to fold his incendiary suggestion, Hamas may be wondering if it is worth participating in phase two of the high fire conversations. What exactly are conversations for?
If Trump is serious, the Palestinians know that he will fall in Israel to make sure Gaza is devoid of civilians. Depriving them of refuge will not be enough. It is almost certain that it will require strength.
Now Trump has said that if all the hostages retained in Gaza are not returned on Saturday, he will propose to cancel the fire and “All Hell” will explode.
But he said he was speaking for himself and “Israel can cancel it.”
Given the possible resumption of war, Hamas may be wondering what incentive there is to free the remaining hostages.
For the family and friends of the hostages, the current impasse and the noisy intervention of Trump is a reason for new anxiety.
“Each of these statements or ads, of course, makes Hamas more stubborn,” Dudi Zalmanovich told the BBC. His wife’s nephew, Omer Shem Tov, is still being sustained by Hamas.
“I would prefer to be less proactive,” Zalmanovich said about Trump.
Israel has its own suspicions about the logic behind the threatened delay of Hamas.
The show of the emaciated hostages that are released over the weekend have generated fears that Hamas does not want the world to see others in still worse conditions.
In addition to the televised scenes of the well -armed Hamas combatants who parade in broad daylight, and warnings of former United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, that the group has recruited as many soldiers as it has been lost during the war, Not all Israelis believe that Israelis believe that Israelis believe that Israeli believe that Israelis believe that Israelis believe that Israelis believe that Israelis believes the high fire can, or even should, maintain.
It is too early to say if this carefully negotiated process and in stages are about to collapse, as many have predicted that will do so, but after a mostly positive beginning, it is under a growing tension.
