Marc Fogel, an American who had been arrested in Russia since 2021, landed in the United States on Tuesday.
Fogel, a history teacher who worked at the Anglo -American school in Moscow, returned to the United States after his release from Russia after the conversations with the Trump administration.
He was fulfilling a sentence of 14 years after his arrest in August 2021 at a Russian airport for drug possession, which his family said he was prescribed with marijuana.

Fogel was seen in an image published by the White House on social networks smiling and raising his fist while he was wrapped in an American flag while leaving the plane on American soil.
