President Donald Trump He recently met with members of the PGA tour in efforts to advance his discussions with Liv Golf and, apparently, favors one side more than the other.
In June 2023, rival tours announced that the two had been in discussions to finally unite forces. But, after the stagnant conversations, the PGA called to Trump To advance the negotiations.
Well, outside the negotiating table, the golf legend Rory Mcilroy said he played a round with Trump “a few weeks ago”, and the two had a “very good” discussion.

Mcilroy then gave some news.
“I learned that he is not a fan of the light format. I think he is … he is on the side (PGA) on the side of the tour.” Mcilroy said.
Trump has organized LIV golf tournaments in his courses since the beginning of the League in 2022; A Trump course for the last time organized a PGA event in 2016.
It is a face of Mcilroy, who said in 2020 that he would not play golf with Trump again when questioning the president’s leadership in the early stages of the pandemic.
PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan Recently he said that the tour “asked” Trump “to be involved for the good of the game, the good of the country and for all the countries involved.”

Adam Scott, a member of the PGA Tour Advisory Board, was at the meeting and said Trump’s “love” for the game It could be “useful” for eventual treatment.
“It is a positive thing that the president of the United States is a lover of the golf game and understands some of the challenges that face the professional game at this time …”, Scott told Golf Channel this week before invitational genesis in Torrey Pins in San Diego, California. “He is a lover of the game and, hopefully, can be very useful to obtain a resolution for the professional game and help everyone to move on.”
“It is quite easy to link it with the golf game. He is passionate, owns several golf properties, fabulous destinations worldwide, and has a relationship with Saudi Arabia, the public investment fund, and is a fan of fans of the fans of the PGA Tour also, without a doubt a Tiger Woods fan, as we are all, “Scott added. “Since this has been linked to government beliefs, it can be very useful.”
Mcilroy said in November that he felt that Trump became president for the second time could help “Of course the way” for a deal between the PGA and Liv.
