The WBC Lightweight Interim Champion William Zepeda and Tevin Farmer will meet in a rematch next month on March 29 in Cancun, Mexico. The event will be shown Live in Dazn in a card promoted by Golden Boy.

Although Farmer and a handful of fans felt that he should have gone on their way, most people saw him as a clear victory for Zepeda. The judges ignored the body hitting that Zepeda made in that fight.
If they had taken it, the fight should have been an unequal victory for William. I saw the fight and Zepeda won 9-1. Farmer won the fourth round due to a flash fall, but that is the only brilliant point in the contest for him.

It was not a fight close enough for a rematch to make sense, but it is understandable why Farmer would want a second chance. It gives you another day of payment and the opportunity to be seen by many fans. If Tevin did not have this fight, I would fight the dark fighters again in smaller cards.
