An American citizen who supposedly had cannabis gomites has been arrested at an airport in Moscow, Russian media reports.
The 28-year-old American was arrested at Vnukovo airport on February 7 after a K-9 with the Russian federal customs service detected something in their luggage, said the Tass news agency in Russia.
He had arrived in Russia through Istanbul.
The US Department of State told Fox News Digital that he knows the reports of a detained citizen and had no more comments.

“A chemical analysis revealed the presence of narcotic substances of the Cannabinoid group,” the customs service reported, according to Tass, and added that the man said that his American doctor had prescribed the gommies.
He has been accused of smuggling of narcotic drugs in the country and could face five to 10 years in prison, Tass reported.
