Boxing results: Jared Anderson survives the late scare, wins the decision against Kollias

The heavyweight Jared Anderson (17-1, 15 kos) survived a late scare to gain a unanimous decision of 10 rounds on Kollias Marios (12-4-1, 10 kos) on Friday night in his fight back in Madison Square Garden Theater in the new York.

Anderson, 25, mainly controlled the fight with his jab and right hand against Kollias. However, in the last seconds of the tenth, Kollias came to life, throwing a burst of shots at Anderson’s head that made him see shocked while the bell sounded to finish the fight.

Although Anderson came out victorious, this was more a loss because he was tired, it seemed that he did not want to be there, and a guy who should not have done that.

Top Rank will have to decide what they want to do with Jared because it does not seem to have improved since his defeat by not grace against Martin Bakole last summer. The way Anderson fought tonight, had lost in most of the 15 main heavy pesos.

The scores

99-91
99-91
98-92

This was not the type of action that Anderson needed to show fans that he would return from his defeat of the fifth round against Martin Bakole in his previous fight on August 3. Anderson was beaten throughout the Kollias fight, who cheated and obtained great blows. His problem was that he was not throwing enough and allowing Anderson to control the rounds.
