The governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, could not help mention the Dallas Cowboys While celebrating the Eagles Philadelphia on Friday.
During the eagles’ Victory Parade Celebrating Sunday’s Super Bowl, Shapiro delivered a speech in which he suggested that the Eagles are “the United States team.”
“People love to hate eagles. People love to hate in Philadelphia. I think we become the United States team in all this. I hope Dallas listens to this,” Shapiro shouted during his speech.
Shapiro then published again an article by Sports Illustrated that covered his comments on X. Many critics quickly made fun of him for comments in response.
“Thinking crazy about a team that has not won a Super Bowl in 30 years during the parade,” a user wrote.
“We do not want to be the United States team. Why do you think we do it? Only stops,” another user wrote.

Other critics rushed to point out that Eagles share a state with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have a longer history of success than the Eagles, with six super bowl victories compared to the two of the Eagles.
“They are not even the Pennsylvania team,” a user wrote.
Another user asked: “If the Steelers win next year … What will you say?”
Many users pointed out how long Shapiro and the mayor of Philadelphia Cherelle Parker took during their speeches. Parker was even booed During his own and found songs of “wrapping it!” of fans.

Shapiro has been criticized by conservatives after demanding President Donald TrumpThursday administration to defrost federal funds. Shapiro said the administration’s decision endangers Pennsylvania projects, including “recovering abandoned mine land, limiting and connecting orphaned wells and reducing consumer costs.”
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth is incurring in debt on projects approved by the Federal Government.
“The Federal Government has concluded a contract with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, promising to provide billions of dollars in funds approved by the Congress that we have committed to serious needs, such as protecting public health; reducing energy costs; providing secure water water and clean; creating jobs in rural communities.
