Cam Newton, who spent most of his 11 -year -old NFL career with him Carolina PanthersHe does not retire from his recent criticism of his former teammates.

The three -time Field Marshal of the Pro Bowl made the initial comments during an interview with the Colorado Travis Hunter football star.
Newton told Hunter that “it has no way to affect the game as a quarterback does.”
“I entered a loser wardrobe,” said Newton. “Simply honest. The boys didn’t know how to win, the boys didn’t know how to prepare. They did not take seriously to realize that we had 2-14. There were many 2-14 in the mentality of those guys.”
Hunter, the reigning Heisman trophy winnerIt is projected to be one of the first players selected in the April Draft. Newton was offering Hunter an idea of the pressure that the bidirectional player could face if he becomes the number 1 selection of this year.
One of Newton’s former teammates, Steve SmithHe made an exception to the comments of the Campo Marshal.
“53 Man Locker Lights – 1 = 52 Losers. Wow … Last minute news at 89,” Smith wrote in X with an angry emoji.

A few hours later, Smith published: “I’ve seen and heard from U @cameonnewton talk about @panthers! We have talked about @panthers lately, I am very disappointed.
Smith played for the 2001-13 panthers and is the most productive receiver to use a panthers uniform. He is also a finalist of the Professional Football Hall 2025.
Newton said “he has no dispute” with Smith and understands why he had a problem with comments. Newton clarified that he was referring to the performance of the Panthers as a whole and not the individual players when he made the original comments.
“I’m not speaking specifically those guys,” said Newton. “I am talking about the culture that was there before I entered the locker room. And it was a losers’ mentality.”

Newton said the Panthers still had it in their first two seasons when they were 6-10 and 7-9.

Things began to join in 2013, when Carolina had 12-4 before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs. The 2015 team had 15-1 and got a place at the Super Bowl. Carolina fell short in that game, losing 24-10 against the Denver Broncos.
