A 7 -year -old mother and daughter are among at least nine dead people in Kentucky After severe floods hit the state, authorities said Sunday.
The mother and the child were swept on Saturday night in the Kentucky Bonnieville community after her vehicle was completely immersed in Floodwater, said Hart County’s coroner Tony Roberts.
Roberts said that the child’s body was later recovered on Saturday night, while Hart County Search and Rescue said that the mother’s body was recovered on Sunday afternoon, WNKY-TV reported. The identities of the mother and the child were not immediately released.
Most of the deaths in Kentucky were caused by cars stuck in high waters, Kentucky Andy Beshear governor said on Sunday.

Beshear said There have been 1,000 bailouts throughout the state since storms began on Saturday. The storms knocked out power at about 39,000 homes, but Beshear warned that hard winds in some areas could increase interruptions.
Parts of Kentucky and Tennessee received up to 6 inches of rain, said Bob Oravec, a senior prosticator with the National Meteorological Service.
