Representative Seth Maulton, D-Mass., Condemned the recent comments of Vice President JD Vance in Munich, claiming that her defense of freedom of expression was similar to the rhetoric of German dictator Adolf Hitler.
Vance attended the security conference of Munich in Germany last week, where he criticized European allies to adopt a “Soviet” style approach to censorship.
“The threat that most worries me about Europe is not Russia, it is not China. It is not any other external actor,” he said. “What worries me is the threat from the retirement of Europe of some of its most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America.”
While many praised Vance for the speech, demonstrating American leadership and the defense of freedom, others condemned him as a bad aspect for US politicians on the world stage.
Democratic representative Seth Maulton condemned the speech of Vice President JD Vance, arguing that he embarrassed Americans.
When MSNBC’s presenter, Ali Vitali, asked him what the room where Vance pronounced the speech was like, Maulton said the Americans were “totally embarrassed.”
“It was absolute and absolute shock shock among our European allies, among basically all at the audience. I think many of us Americans feel totally embarrassed, since Vice President Vance really pronounced not a speech, but a condescending conference on the principles fundamental democracy to our European allies. “
He continued to affirm that the speech was a hypocritical, saying: “He talked about respecting the electoral results. He spoke of not imprisoning his political opponents. And he spoke of not censoring the media.”
“The problem,” he said, “this comes from a man who himself will not recognize the electoral results of 2020. This is a day after Trump said he should imprison the opponents, sorry, the members of the committee of the committee of the January 6, his political opponents.

Later in the same interview, he said that Vance’s rhetoric was like that used in Nazi Germany to “justify the holocaust,” and said that the German right -wing political party he visited, an alternative for Germany, were neo -Nazis.
“I was talking about the enemy inside. This is one of the same language that Hitler used to justify the holocaust,” said Maulton. “Just after the speech, Vice President Vance went to the headquarters of the Nazi Nazi party in Munich to meet with the leader of the modern neo-Nazi party in Germany. So, what was bad in Munich could get worse. This is very, this is very, Very, very, very dangerous administration.
During the same visit to Germany, JD Vance He toured the Dachau concentration camp, A site that has become a powerful symbol of the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany against Jews and other minority groups during World War II.
“What happened here should never happen again,” Vance told a group of dignitaries near the entrance to the camp.
