The leaders of the Hong Kong Democratic Party have announced plans to dissolve what was once the largest opposition group in the city.
The members will soon vote on the final decision on whether to close the 31-year-old, President Lo Kin-Hei said.
The party has been struggling to survive after China’s movements to take energetic measures against dissent in the city following the protests of 2019.
The Government of Beijing and Hong Kong has argued that such movements were necessary for national security.
